WomeninTechZA and Silicon Cape will be hosting a networking event for ladies in tech in Cape Town on 8 September. The event will be held at The Office (http://www.theofficect.co.za) at 18:00.
The site launched on 3 July and has generated a lot of interest in the sector. The event of the 8th will be the first of a series of networking events to be held in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
WomeninTechZA managing human Samantha Perry says she’s very excited to be launching this next phase of the WomeninTechZA journey and would like to thank Silicon Cape for their help and support.
Silicon Cape is a non-profit, community owned and driven movement, that aims to create a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem for tech in the Cape. This is done through skills development, promotion and partnerships, networking, increasing sources and access to capital, and regulatory reform. Silicon Cape is a community of techentrepreneurs, developers, creatives, angel investors, and VC’s who are passionate about entrepreneurship and the roles we play in the future of South Africa.
Silicon Cape is proud to co-host this event with Samantha and use the online platform to promote WomeninTechZA, to encourage more women to join our growing community as well as consider careers in tech.
